STEM
Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, also known as STEM. These days we often add art into this making it STEAM. But whatever the acronym, we all can agree that a thorough education in STEM/STEAM can give our children a leg up as they progress through their educational journey.
SEL
Social Emotional Learning, also known as SEL. A solid foundation in SEL will make our children resilient and able to face the challenges that living, learning and working in the real world.
It’s all about balance
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I struggle with balancing Science, Technology, Electronics and Math (STEM) curriculum with Social Emotional Learning (SEL) topics. At times the two seem so separate and distinct that it feels like you need to focus on one or the other at a time.
